My reading list 8/30/2014 - Who knew Wil Wheaton had a talk show

The Hollywood Reporter - Syfy Cancels Wil Wheaton Talk Show -
The weekly Wil Wheaton Project has been canceled after 12 episodes, the host announced Friday.
Did anyone even know this show existed?

Breitbart - Saudi Foreign Minister: Time for Islamic World to Recognize Israel -
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister said that now is the time to recognize Israel as a legitimate entity in the Middle East, stressing that the Palestinian arm of the Muslim Brotherhood, terror group Hamas, is responsible for fanning the flames of war between Israelis and Palestinians.
Whoa, big if true, but the only source I see is Breitbart and they aren't real reliable.

Cosmopolitan (don't say a word) - I Went From Grad School to Prison -

All I can say is I question the veracity of this article; I mean the core may be true, the woman may have been an occupy protester, she may have been sentenced to prison, and she may now be a prison activist, but everything else just feels made up.  Of course she was wrongly convicted, of course she wasn't responsible for what led to that conviction, of course she had a rough childhood including abuse at the hands of unfeeling Christians, and of course she has a medical condition that provides a convenient excuse for her behavior. On top of that she hits all the prison stereotypes and all the women she meets are strong and supportive and holding their families together against all odds.  It's all just too perfect and I don't buy it.

Foreign Policy - Found: The Islamic State's Terror Laptop of Doom: Buried in a Dell computer captured in Syria are lessons for making bubonic plague bombs and missives on using weapons of mass destruction.
The laptop's contents turn out to be a treasure trove of documents that provide ideological justifications for jihadi organizations -- and practical training on how to carry out the Islamic State's deadly campaigns. They include videos of Osama bin Laden, manuals on how to make bombs, instructions for stealing cars, and lessons on how to use disguises in order to avoid getting arrested while traveling from one jihadi hot spot to another.

But after hours upon hours of scrolling through the documents, it became clear that the ISIS laptop contains more than the typical propaganda and instruction manuals used by jihadists. The documents also suggest that the laptop's owner was teaching himself about the use of biological weaponry, in preparation for a potential attack that would have shocked the world.
Now might be a good time to actually develop a strategy for dealing with these idiots.
