My initial impression is this will probably be bad. I don't think the new government will be particularly interested in helping quiet the border regions of Pakistan. Especially if they don't have the full support of the army, given that we know some elements of the Pakistani Army and the ISI support the Taliban and al-Qaeda.
This could be bad for us, not the world is burning in nuclear fire bad but bad.
