The Reverend Jeremiah Wright

Caught the last 15 minutes of Rev. Wright's speech. At first it sounded pretty good - lots of talk about reconciliation and toleration. Nothing wrong with that, right? Then he started talking about how our theology shapes our anthropology which shapes our sociology and that if you view God as white man then you are a racist sexist bastard who wears the black robe of the church in the morning and the white robe of the Klan at night. I don't know about you but that doesn't sound particularly tolerant to me.

Here's the thing though I can see how people can get sucked in. The guy has a way of talking that's almost hypnotic, very rhythmic, you kind of just want to sit there and nod your head.

There was a question and answer session also but I couldn't hand around for that.
