Not that he couldn't read. From what I understand a lot of successful people have been unable to read or read at a much lower level than you would expect.
No, it's the fact that he was a teacher for so many years without being able to read. How the hell does that escape anybodies notice?
This guy apparently did it by cheating and using teachers aids to shirk off some responsibilities. The fact that he was an education graduate probably helped. Whenever I look at programs just to finish my degree and I get to the education department, I notice that the curriculum isn't exactly a rigorous one.
