Civilian Casualties in Iraq Still Trending Downward

Latest numbers at are showing a decrease of 21% over October '07 and a decrease of 84% from March (the 2007 high point) if the current rate of casualties holds.

I still feel quesy about such large drops so fast, like AQI and the Mehdi Army are holding something back but lets hope I am wrong.

I guess the real test will start next month when the Army starts decreasing the number of troops in country again.
