Oops - OPSEC failure for the US Military

Strava - "The Social Network for Athletes", released it's global heatmap of user activities and guess what:  US Military bases are identifiable and mappable.

This is why I support the old idea of no personal electronics (or at least none that haven't been vetted and put on an approved list) on deployment rule.

(It's not just the US Military that is having this issue, but the US Military is the one I care about most strongly)

The Washington Post just posted this as breaking news five hours after I had it and I was way late to the party as I saw it thru retweets.
