Palin delivers

The general consensus is that Sarah Palin delivered a great speech last night. I agree. It wasn't Ronald Reagan great but then no one is - not even the True Lord and Savior Barack Obama (tm).

The challenge now is to maintain that level of performance. The debate with Biden is in 30 days, but she also has to face the press on a daily basis starting today. They are going to be gunning for her, so I hope she is spending every off moment cramming up on foreign policy and economics, because I would like nothing better than to see her break the bat off in their asses.

As far as the speech itself. It was good - not just the delivery but the content also. Again the challenge now is to maintain that level of excellence, but at some point both McCain and Palin are going to have to get specific on policies because as sure as Christ that's going to be the next line of attack. Our True Lord and Savior (tm) Barack Obama has to realize by now that the hopey, changey, I am the messiah angle is making him look ridiculous and I predict a morph into policy wonk very quickly.

BTW - My favorite line last night. "He's found time to author two memoirs but has never had time to author a major piece of legislation". To be honest this is one of the things that bothers me about Obama. He first wrote Dreams from My Father in 1995. He was 34 years old and had, at least in my mind, no accomplishments other than going to an Ivy League school and becoming president of the Harvard Law Review. How full of yourself do you have top be to write a memoir based on that? Seriously it's like writing a memoir based on being promoted to the second grade. I look at that and I think - His entire reason for being is self aggrandizement and that's all this run for President is. I don't think he really wants to do the job I think he just wants the glory.
