Started reading Absalom Absalom last night.
No real reason other than I have had a copy around forever and Faulkner is supposed to be one of the most important chroniclers of the final decline of the old south.
I can already tell this is going to be tough going; this is the type of books where the authors spends seven paragraphs describing the shadows, direction of the wind and subtle wafting of the lilacs in order to have someone say hello. And I though slogging through Rebranding America was bad.
