Let's be honest, the reason cheerleader squads exist isn't to help the players with that extra bit of motivation. It's to attract drunk guys who want to fantasize they can bang the bejeezus out of the girls thereby driving up TV ratings and increasing ad revenue. If they know that the girl could be a guy who is hung to his knees that might kill the mood, or if they are drunk enough maybe not, but I am betting the NFL and the team aren't willing to take the chance.
