Economic Policy: A Wealth of Bad Ideas
Audio available at 11:05 a.m.
Political Scientists Walt Williams and Bryan Jones have just published The Politics of Bad Ideas, an analysis of Republican tax cutting policies. It asks the question: Why we can't rid ourselves of the bad economic ideas that shape our economy? Sometimes it is easy to show that a certain idea won't work before it gets started, so why isn't it stopped? What bad policies are currently in play? What should be done? Is this all partisan politics?
I am sure it will be the usual round of Republican bashing but it still might be worth a listen.
