About two years ago I posted a list of the "Top 20 Geek Novels" that I lifted from the technology blog. I have been slowly reading the works on that list since and this past weekend was "The Man in the High Castle"'s turn.
It was an OK book but like a lot of previous books on this list I don't understand how it was chosen (although I would bet the fact that the characters smoke pot influences a lot of people). The story itself was OK up except for the infallibility of the I Ching (or iChing in Apple speak) but I hated Juliana Frink. She was a selfish whiner throughout the book and that just turned me off.
Now to finish Beowulf, which I started after seeing the movie this weekend.
Books, The Man in the High Castle, Beowulf
