This is the best discussion (read the comments) I have seen on this subject in a while.
Personally I am against the Windfall Profits Tax because I feel it is counter productive and because despite the concerns about anthropogenic global warming, which I feel is overblown (given it 15 more years and a cooling cycle will start and then everyone will be bitching about that), carbon based fuels are still the most efficient fuels out there.
