Disappointing.
A lot of the action was good but there was too much of the schemes with in schemes betrayal and counter-betrayal type of thing going on. Also a lot of stuff that didn't make sense.
1. The song and dance number at the beginning. What the hell was that? And why? Beckett was apparently exterminating the entire population of Bermuda in order to get them to sing that stupid song, but no explanation of why. I mean did he just miss the London musical theatre or did that actually serve a purpose of some sort?
2. All the crap with mini jacks on Jack's shoulders. That was like something out of a Bugs Bunny cartoon. Should have been scratched. The stuff with the multiple Jacks on the ship in the Land of the Dead went on way too long too in my opinion.
3. The battle at the whirlpool went on way too long and the entire marriage thing was stupidly executed.
4. If Barbossa was Pirate Lord of the Caspian Sea why was he mate on the Black Pearl in the Caribbean?
5. What was the previous relationship between Sparrow and Beckett?
Just tons of stuff like that. The film looked good and like a said the action scenes were good but overall I was really disappointed. The ending obviously set it up for a movie number 4 so be on the look-out for that.
