I went and saw the movie Cavite today. It was interesting and confusing. I think basically the entire sequence with the main character in the Philippines was a dream, but there is never anything that comes right out and proves it. It definitely throws a slightly different perspective on the Abu Sayef / Al Qaeda in the Philippines situation. One thing that pissed me off was the review in the local lib-rag that said it was set against the backdrop of American Imperialism. I didn't see it.
