The Da Vinci Code sucks

I am reading the Da Vinci code and I am not impressed. Let me start off by saying that I am not a religous person so that is not the basis of my objection. Quite Frankly the story just blows. I am interested in History so I know a little bit about the Crusades and the Knights Templar. I have even read Holy Blood Holy Grail. I am fully capable of accepting that Christ was married and had kids. Why that would make him less divine I dont know, but assume its true. Why does that translate into a book where every third word is "the sacred femine"? I'll tell you if I was inclined to follow the Gnostic gospels I'm sure not now. Beyond his obvious advocay of the Gnostic gospels the stry is just so contrived, there isnt any suspense or drama. Just a lot of whining about the Priory of Scion and the Keystone. Maybe the second half of the book will pick up, God I hop so.
