Cloture Invoked - Daily Kos commenters suffer brain aneurysms

By my count cloture has been invoked ending debate on the Alito nomination, meanwhile over at Daily Kos the commenters are coming unhinged. Some are threatening to leave the country, (probably not to Canada though now that President Bush's Imperialist Running Dog Lackey is in charge up there) other have sworn to defeat every Democrat Senator who vote for cloture, and others are just coming unglued. My personal favorite:

Shit, Landrieu voted for Cloture n/t (none / 0)

Remember (4.00 / 2)

That punishing the victims of Katrina is not the same thing as punishing Mary Landrieu. So you can't just call for a blanket refusal to support her calling for money. Just make sure that if it is not going to Katrina victims, most of who just had their larger interests sold down the river in several ways, Mary Landrieu gets bupkis.

Hell yes you can (none / 0)

What other way of getting their attention would you suggest. This is why the filibuster was so necessary, so we could see who would stand and fight. Got some slack for Di Fi, I was ready to fight against her.

So the party of the weak and downtrodden will sacrifice their constituents because they don't like a vote by one of their members. Gotta love it!
