Justice Dept. Opens Inquiry Into Leak of Domestic Spying - New York Times
Well, the fats in the fire now. The Justice Department has opened a probe into the leak(s) about the NSA warrantless surveillance program. I find it amusing that journalists who were all for inestigating the supposed national security implications of the Plame leak are now the targets of an investigation themselves. As Cartman would say, "MMMM! Are those the salty delicious tears of bitter irony".
More irony:
The officials, who requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the probe, said the inquiry will focus on disclosures to The New York Times about warrantless surveillance conducted by the National Security Agency since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
So we have an anonymous leak about an investigation into an anonymous leak, sounds about right.
The rest of the article is a NYT attack on the administration, a justification for their actions disguised as news.
