Fight You F**kin Wimps

As promised here is my “Fight You F**kin Wimps” article.  

I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but I am getting tired of the Republicans in congress and the Administration rolling over and playing dead for the likes of Harry Reid.  Day after Day I watch the news and see the Democratic leadership holding a press conference accusing the President of everything short of ritual human sacrifice.  The worst part is there is no organized response from our side of the aisle.  I have to wonder is the Republican leadership timid, confused, or do they just have no beliefs that they want to stand up for.  

It isn’t just the constant drumbeat of the President lied to get us into war in Iraq but that is the major part of it.  There was 10 years worth of Intelligence that indicated Saddam Hussein was attempting to reconstitute a WMD program.  It was the Clinton administration that pulled out the inspectors in 1998 because Saddam was concealing his programs and not allowing access to sites.  Now we are told that he had destroyed his capabilities in 1991 and had never reconstituted them.  So did President Clinton lie when he set regime change as the national policy towards Iraq.  Was the UN lying when the maintained sanctions for 12 years because Saddam wouldn’t comply with the terms of the cease fire which required that he disarm.  As I posted earlier today the intelligence that led us into the war was fatally flawed, but we have recovered artillery shells capable of delivering chemical agents, small amounts of the agents themselves, tons of uranium, 1.5 tons of partially refined uranium, precursor chemicals and dual use equipment that could have been used to process the precursors.  In addition we have recovered documents that have proved at the least talks about coordination of efforts between Iraq and Al-Qaeda.  We have also uncovered mass graves of hundreds of thousands of Saddam’s own people.  So we have a man who has twice invaded neighboring countries, used poison gas on his own people, slaughtered hundreds of thousand of them, who may have been developing WMD but invading and removing him from power was wrong.  So why aren’t the Republicans out there fighting.  Every time Harry Reid got up to make a speech I would say “Senator Reid is either a hypocrite or a liar, he had access to the intelligence and voted for this war He knows Saddam's record and he knows what he risks were, he concurred with the actions this administration undertook and now that the going is a little tough he wants to make political points off it.”

Next is the Libby / Plame episode.  There is ample evidence including 2 separate reports which looked into the intelligence used to justify the Iraq war here in the States, and the Butler report in England, that to put it bluntly, Joseph Wilson lied about what he found.  He lied about how he came to be involved in the entire affair and he lied about his wife’s involvement.  Libby’s lying to the Grand Jury was wrong, but the administration should be hammering on Wilson’s credibility even more.  And the next time Schumer runs his fat mouth about firing Karl Rove, I would say, “When Senator Schumer fires his staff members who have admitted committing a felony then we will be willing to accept advice on the matter from him”

There is plenty of opportunity to hammer these guys into the dirt lets get on the ball Mr. President, VP Cheney and Senator Frist.
